Typica Cafe @Shaw Parade ,KL.

It has become my weekly ritual to try out different coffees from different cafes.
This time, Typica Cafe was suggested by my best pal. I did a quick research before heading there and I must admit that the place indeed looks promising on the internet.

So I went there another day to check it out.
Though geographically Typica are said to locate inside Shaw Parade, they are actually situated facing the main road, not inside. You can either park outside on the road or inside the Parade parking area (limited parking space though).

The ambiance in Typica was remarkably comfortable, though seating are limited; I love the simple and see-through window, besides letting the daylight pass through effortlessly, it allow us to stare through the window, watching every passerby walk by, while taking sip by sip of our coffee.

Red Medjool Date Milk Tea. RM15

The Medjool date taste was light and crisp, subtle and not overpowering ; Milk tea was alright, the entire body tasted smooth but not creamy. Just the way I like it. I love the complimentary biscotti too, it pairs well with anything.

 Rum Brownies RM12 ; Matcha Cheesecake RM12

The overpriced brownies tasted extremely delicious though with a kick of alcoholic Rum flavor followed by the intense chocolatey fragrance, the vanilla ice cream was a bonus! However , the Matcha cheesecake was  a letdown to me. I found it tasteless , there's little to no green tea taste at all, it was merely detectable by the palate, same goes to the cheese, it was bland and it does not taste sweet at all. Anyway, I still have to reckon that their clean and classic plating did cheer me up.
Right: Red dates Milk Tea. RM15

One man's trash might be another man's treasure, the taste and fondness of these not-so-sweet desserts may varies from one individual to another.

Coffee with rose tea &Honey Fresh Milk. RM15

If budget is not your concern and you would love to try something new from the ubiquitous selection of coffee, this place is it! Typica offers lemongrass coffee, rose tea coffee, red date coffee, coffee with green tea fresh milk , coffee with lavender and honey. . . Just to name a few....
