Sushi Tei @Setiawalk Puchong

Japanese Cuisine has a very special place in my heart . And whenever I have cravings (which is quite often), I'll go to Jusco or Isetan 's sushi department , but sadly, at times they do not offer many choices. Eventually when my craving intensifies, I'll just walk in any sushi chain and whack as many as my tummy could take...I found Sushi Tei offers an expansive Japanese cuisine, marrying the intricacies of sashimi to the atrical flair of teppanyaki with an innate intuition of local taste to forge and inimitable identity of their own. . .

Sushi Tei is no ordinary dining restaurant, notably known in providing an ethereal with an ambiance more than a dining experience just for you by setting themselves apart from the norm.
Sushi Tei present an assortment of scrumptious  and creatively designed japanese  gastronomy - appealing to the delight of aficionados of Japanese cuisine with reasonable price.

So when the famous Taufulou invited me to join him dinner at Newly open Sushi Tei at Setiawalk, there was no second thought necessary. \

A contemporary conveyor belt setting as every sushi chain has to ensure the constant flow of sushi(s) from the kitchen.

 Sunrise . RM5.80

Bloody Sprite. RM5.80

Salmon Skin. RM6.80

Who does not like Crispy Salmon skin?
Best finger food ever , I would say (of course , apart from deep fried pork skin) ;P

Sashimi Salad. RM16.80

Onion Sauteed dressing & Prilla Leaf Dressing

Ladies who prefer to have a healthy and light meal could opt for this. You get to try every bit of different types of sashimi with fresh salad without worrying that you'll gain half a pound!

squeeze some lemon to zest up the dish!

Sanma Kabayaki. RM14.80

Tan Tan Don .RM11.80

If you have an enormous appetite that night and wish to have something heavier , you can choose the Tan Tan Don .
Topped with a wobbly egg on top, all you need to do is just incorporate it...

...and indulge!

Generous minced meat packed with flavors, slightly sweet and spicy, very appetizing!

Salmon Enoki Roll. RM12.80

Ika Okura

It's easy to imagine how it'll taste like, slimy and crunchy at the same time!

Premium Yee Sang. RM68.80

Red Prawn, Yellow Tail, Salmon, 8-10 pax

The presentation of the yee sang was gorgeous, I loved the diiferent colours and textures popping out at me like a three dimensional puzzle.

Lobster Salad. RM12.80

I must say that Sushi Tei offers the best and freshest  sushi among all sushi chain that has to offer.
Every mouthful consist chunks of lobster , creamy mayo and also the fragrant aroma contributed by the seaweed.

Dynamic Roll. RM16.80

Dynamic, as the name sounds. The bursting of flavors , texture and aroma in just one bite. . . I fell deeply into this roll because of the ebiko too! ;P
The ebiko literally dance in your mouth ! *doink doink*

Golden Soft Shell Crab. RM12.80

Every bite into this creature is a sin!
A delightful sin! Crunchy and glistening with oil, topped with house-special mayo and ebiko.
Lovely, I wish I could order more but I have to save some space for other dishes that has yet to come that night...

Arima (4 kinds). RM59.80

Tuna Belly, Yellow Tail, Sweet Shrimp, Raw Scallop

The raw scallops are achingly fresh and are an acidic hit with the squeeze of lemon . The translucent Sweet Shrimp and Yellow tail is much-anticipated and cuts like jelly....
everything on the plate was absolutely fine . *Highly recommended*

Hotate Wasabi Mayo. RM8.80

Fresh scallop coated in specially made batter then dip fry it and coat with wasabi mayo. The wasabi flavor was very mild but can easily be detected without the spicy kick to the nose.
Even kids can enjoy it!

Kaisen Ramen Salad. RM28.80

This was also one of my favourite that night...
The noodle was springy and just lightly seasoned with some Japanese sauce, paired with pieces of fresh salmon and Ikura . . . I nodded after taking each bite as to acknowledge how profound this salad was.
*thumbs up*

Asama (5 piece) RM35.80

Tuna, Yellow Tail, Salmon

In Sushi Tei, the more simple dishes are the highlights, this is a good example which allowed me to fully appreciate the fresh cut sashimi. So bloody fresh and sweet, I hate using the description but it is exactly how I felt for it.

Ameabi Kaarage. RM12.80

The crustacean was deep fried until extremely crunchy. I swallowed everything including the head because there's a vast flavor in that particular part, don't you agree with me?

Ika Sugata Shio. RM15.80

The other dining mate , Anna loves this very much...
''This is very nice!!!'' She acclaimed. and at last she couldn't refrained herself from ordering another one.

Choi Kara Fried Rice. RM18.80

Spicy Fried Rice with Crab Meat...
I love the spicy kick in this fried rice, utterly  mild and subtle  chili flavor.. and not too spicy for my liking.

Manguro Lover. RM11.80

Gyu Misoyaki. RM15.80

...dip it  into the specialty sauce and then pan fry for 30 seconds and you are ready to eat.

Asari Sakamushi. RM23.80

Gyoza. RM9.80

The gyoza would be perfect to me if the bottom is more charred and crispy.

Gindara Teriyaki. RM26.80

The melt-in-your-mouth kind of sensation that the cold fish has literally brought me to heaven for a moment. Lightly brushed with some sweet sauce and the seared to perfection. *Highly recommended*

Ikura Chawanmushi. RM12.80

The chawanmushi taste as soft as baby butt . Supple and wobbly! Haha! I love my description!

Yogurt Forest Berry. RM7

Matcha Ice Cream . RM7

My mouth still waters thinking about those sashimis and sushi(s) that I had last week....
Will definitely come back for more!!
