Baked (Non-fried) Fries.

Ever waking up in the morning and crave for something unhealthy?
Fries ,hamburger, fried chicken, well even if you don't , that's alright; It's not a good sign if the craving strikes, if you don't satisfy your cravings you might end up eating more than you should, so why not make your own healthy version and put a full stop to your pulsing cravings?

You can either choose Russet potato or Sweet Potato.

Russet potato will give you a more 'grainier' feel that sweet potato; Sweet potato taste more creamy than Russet.

Method :

Russet Potato
1) After cutting the desire size ( I prefer it to be thicker rather than finger size) , pat dry it using clean cloth.
2) In a deep bowl, add adequate corn flour and any herbs ( I used Oregano) and toss in the potatoes.

Sweet Potato
1) Pat dry using clean cloth.
2) I used Paprika to season it because I want the spicy 'kick' rather than normal plain fries.

Preheat oven to 450 degrees F.
Line a sheet tray with parchment. In a large bowl toss sweet potatoes with just enough oil to coat. Sprinkle with House Seasoning and paprika. Spread sweet potatoes in single layer on prepared baking sheet, being sure not to overcrowd. Bake until sweet potatoes are tender and golden brown, turning occasionally, about 20 minutes.

recipe adapted from : foodnetwork

Lay them evenly on the pan so that they'll brown evenly when they're cooked.

Special cooling condiments. :

Plain Yogurt
Cucumber ( finely chopped)
Honey
Onion ( finely chopped)

Man, this goes very well with the Russet Potatoes....
Best served when chilled.

Voila! Sweet potato fries. Don’t tell me I didn’t warn you… they are addictive! Please try them and let me know what you think!
