Breakfast part 2.

Yo! What's up fellow friends?
It's been a week since I last updated... and aha! Finally I post something here again!
Just a simple question, does extra large picture actually triggers more production of your saliva each time you browse through my pictures? Or it takes longer time for you to load this page, and indirectly provoking you to click on the 'cross' button at the top right? Please do let me know so that I can make some adjustment to it. ;)

So, these are a few pictures of my daily breakie~

I bought Purple Wheat Gardenia Loaf , which is not commonly found in the ubiquitous 'kedai runcit' ( local mart). It sounds more healthier compared to whole wheat,  and I never came across such word - purple grain, so I decided to purchase it. To my dismay, they taste generally the same , dry and lack of flavor. Though I already know healthy bread was suppose to taste like this - bland and not flavorful. Somehow, two slice of this bread contributes 4.5g of fibres, and that is significantly not-a-small-amount.

After assembled the banana on the bread, I sliced it diagonally into a triangular shaped. Then sliced up a Kiwi to power up my vitamin C besides to adorn my toast.

You can also drizzle some(more) honey if you're having a sweet tooth.

Sometimes I get sick of having the same accustomed breakfast that consist of fruits, so I decided to twist a lil bit here and there and make my own sandwich! :D
I went to the supermarket and did some grocery shopping, at the meantime, I was searching for inspiration, trynna come out with some idea, but, I failed . HAHAHAHA
I found it amusing because no matter how desperately I want to create something new, I always end up doing the same thing... Nothing special, just bought some Rosemary Bread, any types of vegetable that can easily be obtained , and Bolona ham, with some condiments .

Bologna, hard-boiled eggs and mayonnaise.
I used fat-free mayo, which is a healthier choice, (minus the sodium content of course).

Typically tasty , paired with a hot cup of chocolate milk would be fantastic to kick-up my sluggish weekday.

I mashed up some hard-boiled egg, squeezed some mayo in it and incorporated them.
Then I assemble them layer by layer, wrap it up, then fastened with a long wooden skewer.
Then I am ready to go!

I love to share my food with friends...To me, sharing food is like sharing happiness.
I enjoy watching them enjoy lunch that I made; I feel happy when I see the inexplicable contentment that they displayed on their faces, telling me how grateful and merry they were to have friends like me to make them lunch.
To me, cooking for others is a labour of love, and I have totally no complaints at all. Regardless on how much time and money I need to spend on shopping for groceries, for preparation, to assemble the taste and presentation, etc ; instead, I'll take great pleasure in it. Because I can foresee they'll be happily fighting (in a good way) and gorging down the food that I will be bringing to them . That's the moment where everything pays off, and automatically they'll put a smile back on my face. ;)

Occasionally I love having something healthy for breakfast. They say, breakfast is the most important meal because you've been starving for 8 hours while you're sleeping, and your body is depriving for food, hence whatever you'll be taking in the morning, will be fully absorb by your digestive system, so make sure you feed yourself right.

My cousin bought me a bottle of vinegar last week, wasn't sure where she gets this from but million thanks to her. I am able to make vinaigrette salad with this Fattoria Estense Balsamic Vinegar...
It's a very fine quality vinegar in terms of taste and texture. It's very mellowy, not too acidic but somehow still preserve that dulcet astringency that vinegar ought to have.

I drizzle it on a bed of lettuce, then chop some rainbow color fruits and simply agglomerate them into a bowl.

Pretty , pretty simple, pretty beautiful, pretty healthy too! ;)

I'd actually added some soy nut butter into my salad to jazz up the flavor and also to add some creamy texture to it.
To balance up your diet, you can also add chopped nuts (walnuts, almonds, hazelnuts, pecans..... or even peanut butter !)

So this is what I eat, what a college student eats when she's away from home. :P
if I can make it, so can you!

  3. Balsamic vinegar would be good for salads - that's what my Western friend has mentioned.

I see a lot of varieties here. Might want to give the hard-boiled egg and bread a shot; the one I had for lunch today was pan-fried version. I'm not a big fan of raw salads because of the tomatoes and lettuce leaves. =(
