Chef Zubir's presence at Le Meridien Kuala Lumpur Hotel for the past 8 years has truly spearheaded the level of excellence in food preparation. He is unshrinking in his belief that attention to food safety is something his team must never compromise on. For Zubir, life in the culinary world , where food is no longer a necessity but a passion, is an ongoing learning curve. In addition to Japanese, Western, Chinese and Indian live cooking counters, guests will also feast on 10 favourite local dishes, created by Le Meridien very own celebrity Chef Zubir Mohd Zain. Indulge in sup jernih udang galah, rendang ayam pencen pucuk ubi, ikan kerapu ranggup sos berlada bunga kantan, satay kepal udang dan ikan a la thai, sizzling makanan laut sos kacang hitam, rusuk lembu panggang a la Monggolia, solok sotong bakar lemak kuning, pengat Durian dengan pankek gulung and many other mouth waterting delicacies. These dishes are a reflection of Chef Zubir's happy childhood memories where family gatherings revolved around his mother's delicious cooking.



The Latest Recipe invites you to strengthen ties with your family , friends and business associates with its; wide selection of authentic Malay cuisine prepared according to age-old recipes, yet given a twist to suit the modern palate. The main attraction of the buffet, year after year, is without a doubt , the whole lab carving. A signature dish, the restaurant prepared approximately 1.6 tones of New Zealands's best lamb last year. Speacially marinated for 2 days with Arabic spices and vinegar , it is no surprise why the carving station always has the longest queue. 

Another popular dish is the special style pasta - with 'cili padi' added for that extra 'zing' the dish suits the Malaysian taste buds perfectly.

As the Executive Sous Chef of Le Meridien Kuala Lumpur, Chef Zubir is responsible for the food quality and hygiene standards in all kitchens as well as supervising cooking operations and ensuring food quality standards are met.

In addition, chef will also rotate their menu every single day of the week, so be prepared to their mind-blowing ,mix and match traditional dishes during the weeks of Ramadan!



This scrumptious buffet dinner is available at the Latest Recipe, from 23rd July to 17 August 2012, and is priced at RM128++ per person (From Monday - Friday), at RM118++ per person (Saturday &Sunday) and at RM88++ per person( for booking after 9pm from Monday to Thursday).
