192 - Cake In Egg.

 I just love baking. Love to see the aftermath. Love to know everyone loves my baking. Love the process. Love the mess after baking. Love to receive comments.Love to eat too!

So, let's not waste time .. I'll show you how to prepare this. ^^

To prepare the eggs : 

Use anything sharp to poke a hole on top of the egg.
You can also use a fork, but make sure you slant it to 45degree to punch a hole.

Then carefully peel the edge of the hole to expand a bit. Make sure it's not too small nor too big. 
It needs to fit in a piping bag later. ;P
Pour the content out, and then wash it with salt water.

Dry the egg upside down with a clean paper towel at the bottom.

After everything is done, make sure you get a tray, make the eggs sit still. You can use muffin tray too, expand your creativity! ^^

To prepare the fillings :

Honestly, any cake recipe will do. Anyway,I go for the cupcake recipe.
(Sponge cake/muffins/cupcake).

  • 10 large eggs (only two will get used in the cake. The rest are just used for the shells)
  • 1 1/4 cup flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/8 tsp baking soda
  • pinch of salt
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup butter (room temperature)
  • 1/2 a lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup full cream milk

  1. Mix the flour , baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a medium-sized bowl and set aside.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, mix 2eggs and sugar until light and creamy.
  3. Add the butter and lemon extract and mix until fully integrated.
  4. Mix in the dry ingredients until just combined.
  5. Add the milk and mix until smooth.
  6. Bake it at preheated oven ,170 Degree Celsius for 20 minutes. 

Load all the batter into a pipping bag. Cut the tip of the bag, make sure it fits in the diameter of the hole on the eggs. Fill your eggs 3/4 full with the batter. This is the trick part, if you under-filled the eggs, you won't have a complete cake when you crack them after baking.
If you overfilled, the cake will overflow out of the egg during baking.

Gently squeeze appropriate amount of batter ....

Actually I'd rather let the cake overflow, cause I can simply pick it off and eat it ! >.<
